New Love

I have found a new love, sorry hubby, I have started using resin which comes in various shapes sizes colors themes. My new favorite is resin flowers. I love using them in my necklaces, it adds a touch of whimsy to each piece. I recently did a show in Long Beach, Ca. and I had so many people as if they were the vintage pieces they saw their mothers wearing. New item to me but old concept.

It isn't march madness anymore

May is a whirlwind of activity for me. This weekend I was in a boutique called mindy mae's, next weekend I will be in a boutique/fundraiser and the following weekend drumroll please....is Market. To Resin or Not to Resin, That is the question!

I wanted to try making a new type of jewelry, because I just cannot rest until I have tried it all. Resin is what is interesting me lately, I have seen so many interesting jewelry pieces using resin. So the question I post to you, should I attempt yet another messy project that will put my house in disorderly array? (also the smell might be worse than my two dogs, and that is baaaad)Or should I just let that resin temptation pass?

Oh Boy has is been a long time or what? My last post was April of 2009. Well I have been up to quite a lot! My New line of jewelry uses vintage buttons and jewelry. Mixing the old with the new makes a fabulous piece that is one of a kind. I have one pictured here. It is available at monamiejewelry.etsy.com.

I have also been accepted to participate in the spring international quilt market. My business partner and I will have amazing pieces including charms, button necklaces, necklaces, earrings bracelets and many other wonderful pieces.
